Music transcends time, binding artists and fans in shared memories. Now, 15 years later, the Jonas Brothers are set to fulfill a dream: performing at the Yankee Stadium. As they promise nostalgia, star-studded surprises, and reflections on the concert landscape, join Nick, Joe, and Kevin on this captivating musical journey.
Back in 2008, just as the Jonas Brothers were emerging as pop sensations, they had the chance to perform at Yankee Stadium. “During that rapid ascent to fame, we were hesitant about our capacity to fill the stadium," shares Nick Jonas. "We voiced our apprehensions to our team and opted for another venue.”
Fast forward 15 years, the brothers are set to kick off their global “The Tour” with two jam-packed performances at this iconic stadium on August 12 and 13. "This is a dreamy beginning," expresses Joe Jonas. "Rehearsals have kept us on our toes for the past month.”
A recent mock performance for a group of 200 fans left Joe reflecting, “Witnessing fans from our early days, some even from school tours in ’07 or ’08, has been heartwarming. This tour feels like a nostalgic journey shared with our fans.”
The brothers hint at celebrity appearances during the Yankee Stadium shows. Nick tantalizingly drops, “They're renowned figures. Expect some unexpected moments without our presence on stage. I'll be eagerly watching from behind the scenes, anticipating the crowd's response.”
They had originally aimed for a dual series, with shows at both Yankee Stadium and the Mets’ Citi Field. “Sadly, the Mets’ venue wasn't available,” Joe notes.
Addressing the concerning trend of fans throwing objects on stage, Nick states, “Such acts are alarming and should cease immediately. The rationale behind them eludes me.”
Lightening the mood, Joe adds, "I'll be ready with my baseball bat just in case."
Endorsed by EVO ICL, "The Tour" boasts over 90 performances spanning 20 nations and concludes on June 20, 2024, in Belfast, Ireland.
